This tour is designed and led by Chef Susana Trilling, a renowned authority on Oaxacan cuisine, who is a teacher, author and TV host and the director of Seasons of My Heart Cooking School in Oaxaca, along with Todd Coleman, an award-winning photographer and writer who is the editor-at-large at Tasting Table and former executive food editor of Saveur. Oaxaca has a unique story to tell, its gastronomy and culture are unparalleled and a trove of endless wonders. From its deeply delicious tapestry of moles, tamales and tlayudas to its hidden mountain farms and the intricate lives of the locals. This 7 day - 6 night course is designed to cover everything a magazine story would delve into, with tours and expert guidance during this magical week, including cooking in Teotitlán del Valle with the Hernandez family; street photography instruction and photo session in a mountain village; many lively and colorful processions; photography through markets followed by cooking classes; a late night taco run; food styling shoots; and much more.
